KNOW ABOUT JAN KALYAN MAHILA SAMITI
Mehrun Nisa; the president of Jan Kalyan Mahila Samiti has been actively involved in social activities much before the launch of Jan Kalyan Mahila Samti. She has been the motivating force behind the formal creation of the Samiti in the year 1996. Since than she has left no stone unturned in rendering selfless and illustrious services in all spheres of life for the upliftment and equal justice of women and girl child, under-privileged, downtrodden, destitute of the society. Keeping in mind this spirit of selfless services, she has started a vocational course in hand and machine embroidery at the centre for the teaching and training of women and girl students for their self and economic independence. With an untiring and resolute courage she has continued her fight against gender bias and running from pillar to post for the social justice, women power and economic independence of women and girl child. Recently her Samiti has adopted some thirty five unprivileged children of sex workers taking the responsibility of providing food, clothes and education to all of them. She has always given priority for the cause of women and girl child.
Free Medical Camp for various tests and examinations was organized by JKMS in 1995.
